    Swim Lessons

    Swimming Lessons For Kids

    Session 1: June 26 - 30

    Session 2: July 10 - 14

    Level 1: 10 am - 10:40 am
    Water safety, kicking, holding breath and going underwater.
    Level 2: 10:45 - 11:25 am
    Treading water, floating, jumping from the side of the pool.
    Level 3: 11:30 am - 12:10 pm
    Basic strokes, swimming in the deep end.

    Pool Party Rentals & Moonlight Swims

    Party Rentals

    Sundays and Evenings - Rent the pool for your family or organization's party.

    1-50 people:
    $150 for 2 hours
    $50/additional hour
    $50/every additional 50 people

    To book your party stop by the pool or call pool manager Linda Jones at (740)-826-7121. Your date is reserved when you pay the $50 deposit.

    Rules/Regulations

    To maintain a safe and enjoyable pool environment, all swimmers and other pool visitors, employees, and volunteers are required to follow the rules below. Violation of these rules will lead to the suspension or loss of pool privileges.

    Pool Safety Rules
    • Children ages 11 and under must be
      accompanied by an adult
    • No running
    • No pushing
    • No dunking
    • No chicken fighting
    • No snapping towels
    • No hanging off the ropes
    Diving Board Rules
    • No diving in the shallow end
    • No swimming under the diving board
    • Only one person on the diving board at one time
    • Only one bounce off the diving board
    Personal Conduct Rules
    • No spitting
    • No cursing
    • No chewing gum

    Weather

    1. The pool will be evacuated at the first sign of thunder and/or lightning.
    2. All visitors must stay away from the fence during storms.
    3. If threatening weather still exists after one hour of evacuation, the pool will close for the day.
    4. Once the pool is closed, it will not reopen.
    5. On days when the temperature is forecasted to be below 70 degrees or the temperature does not reach 70 degrees by 1:00pm, the pool will close for the day.
    6. Closure for safety reasons has the full support of the Village of New Concord and NCAARD.

    Friends of the Pool

    Do you swim regularly at the New Concord Area Pool? Are your kids pool fanatics? Do you have fond memories of the pool as EMSPA? If you believe that New Concord needs a community pool, it's time you joined the Pool Boosters!
    The Pool Booster committee meet frequently throughout the year. They have a say in planning pool hours and offerings. They also get their hands dirty with pool upkeep and fund-raising.
